Over the years Mike has won substantial jury verdicts throughout Minnesota in claims involving products liability, liquor liability, general negligence, motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, municipal liability, business negligence, homeowner negligence, construction liability, fraud, real property disputes, divorce, and eminent domain.

The personal injury cases Mike has handled have run the gamut, covering a wide array of claims including wrongful death, paraplegia, brain injuries, burns, organ loss, facial injuries, scarring, and all types of musculoskeletal injuries. Within the field of products liability, Mike Senior’s two most recent multi-million dollar settlements stand out as two of the more significant Minnesota product liability results in recent memory.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Law (J.D., 1969). Before that, he obtained his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of St. Thomas (B.A., 1966). Mike was admitted to practice in Minnesota in 1969.

He is also admitted to practice in Federal District Court, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Following admission to the bar, Mike served as a law clerk for the Minnesota Supreme Court from August 1969 to August 1970.

Mike’s legal career began in 1970 when he joined the Hall & Byers firm. He served as the St. Cloud City Prosecutor from approximately 1970 through 1975. During that period he also conducted criminal prosecutions on behalf of Stearns County.

He acted as legal counsel for LeSauk Township from 1973 through 1979. He served as counsel for the St. Cloud Catholic Diocese from 1973 through 1978. In 1979 Mike left Hall & Byers to form his own civil litigation practice. Since that time Mike’s work focused increasingly on personal injury litigation, where he has had remarkable success on behalf of his clients.

In addition to his litigation experience, Mike has held several directorships and board membership positions. He has served as a director for Zapp National Bank and Mathew Hall Lumber Company. He served as both a board member and former president for St. Cloud’s Downtown Association, and was a board member at St. John’s Preparatory School.

Mike is a member and former president of the John E. Simonett Chapter of the American Inns of Court. He is a member and serves on the board of governors for the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Stearns/Benton Bar Association.
